Ao todo, no comando do São Paulo, Telê conquistou duas Copas Libertadores, em 1992 e 1993, dois Mundiais de Clube, em 1992 e 1993 um Campeonato Brasileiro, em 1991, duas Recopas Sul-Americanas, em 1993 e 1994, uma Supercopa da Libertadores, em 1993, evenceu dois Campeonatos Paulistas, em 1991 e 1992.
Eterno na história do Tricolor Paulista, Telê recebeu uma homenagem do clube nesta segunda-feira. Além de uma publicação sobre os feitos do ex-treinador, o São Paulo disponibilizou, também, um e-book com dados do técnico enquanto comandante da equipe, com os registros dos 410 jogos em que esteve a frente do time do Morumbi.
Telê Santana faleceu no dia 21 de abril de 2006, aos 74 anos, após sofrer uma infecção intestinal, que desencadeou complicações.
Em homenagem ao que seria seu 90º aniversário, o São Paulo publicou o link para o e-book com a história do treinador pelo clube e ainda afirmou que o ex-técnico elevou o clube a outro patamar.

It will come as no surprise to learn that the man who once got the better of Kylian Mbappe is set to be sent packing at the end of his miserable loan spell, with the Fiorentina maestro – and Casemiro – likely set to be followed out the door by a third midfield asset in the form of Christian Eriksen.

Snapped up on a free transfer back in the summer of 2022, it looked at the time as if the experienced Dane – who had beaten the odds to return to the game following his cardiac arrest at Euro 2020 – would merely be a replacement for the departing Juan Mata, the type of player who could unlock a defence late on in games off the bench.
However, with Ten Hag's protracted pursuit of Frenkie de Jong falling flat, Eriksen was repurposed as a deep-lying option alongside fellow arrival, Casemiro, catching the eye during 2022/23 after chalking up two goals and ten assists in all competitions.
Despite that impressive return, the former Tottenham Hotspur and Brentford man was hampered by an ankle injury sustained in January last year and in truth, he has not looked the same since, notably being hooked on the hour mark during the FA Cup semi-final triumph over Brighton and Hove Albion, in which he had a 'day to forget' – as per The Guardian's Jamie Jackson.
As for the current campaign, the 32-year-old – who has 15 goals and assists in 65 games for the club – has been something of a bystander to proceedings amid the rise of young Mainoo and with Scott McTominay stealing the limelight with nine goals across all fronts.
Now, his future at the Theatre of Dreams rightly looks uncertain…

Such has been Eriksen's tumble down the pecking order this season, the £150k-per-week star has been afforded just nine top-flight starts to date, having only recently gone public with his frustration at that lack of game time.
Branded a mere "short-term fix" by The Athletic's Adam Crafton, the 128-cap Denmark international does still have a year left on his current contract in Manchester, although rumours are rife that he could be shown the door 12 months early.
If he is to depart this summer, United will likely still make a profit after signing him for nothing almost two years ago, although the size of the transfer fee may not quite be as enticing as it should be.
As per Transfermarkt, the experienced talent was valued at around €25m (£21m) at the peak of his time under Ten Hag back in November 2022, albeit with that having since plummetted to just €10m (£9m) at present.
Sofyan Amrabat
While age may be a factor in that decline, it is telling that he has now even slipped behind Amrabat of all people, with the forgotten man valued at €22m (£19m), despite his lack of action in a United shirt.
With there seemingly little sense in keeping Eriksen – nor Amrabat and Casemiro – around for another campaign, the new Sir Jim Ratcliffe regime must be ruthless and wield the axe this summer.

Attackers wanted at Tottenham alongside Werner
Ange Postecoglou lost Harry Kane to Bayern Munich last summer but has managed to bolster his attacking ranks with moves for Brennan Johnson and Timo Werner.
Werner arrived on loan with an option to buy in January, and after contributing to four Premier League goals in eight games, looks on course to make his move permanent.

It has been claimed Tottenham are more likely than not to make Werner's loan deal permanent from RB Leipzig, with another centre-forward also wanted ahead of the 2024/25 season.
Ivan Toney, Mohamed Amoura, Omar Marmoush and Santiago Gimenez are thought to be centre-forward targets, whereas Spurs are also reportedly in pole position to sign Nottingham Forest attacking midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White.
Another attacking midfielder who could be on the move this summer is Werner’s recent Leipzig teammate, Dani Olmo.
Spurs actually made an offer to sign Olmo when he was still at Dinamo Zagreb back in 2019, and it looks as if he is back on the radar in north London.

According to reports in Germany, relayed by Sport Witness, Tottenham are one of the clubs eyeing up a move to sign Olmo.
The attacking midfielder can leave if his €60m (£51.2m) release clause is triggered, something which is seen as a “bargain for top clubs” in England, including Spurs, and a few other La Liga sides.
However, reports elsewhere have claimed that Spurs’ rivals Chelsea are also keen on Olmo and are ready to activate his release clause.
Since joining Leipzig in 2020, the Spain international has gone from strength to strength and is now valued at a career-high €50m by Transfermarkt.
The 25-year-old has been missing through injury at points this season but can turn out on the wing if needed, making him a possible versatile attacking option for Postecoglou.

Olmo also caught the eye of Pep Guardiola back in 2019, with the Manchester City boss calling the Spaniard a “top player” and “incredible”.
"He's a top player – he has a bright future, of course. His performance today shows it. About the transfer and the money he deserves, that is not the point. The point is he is an incredible player and I am pretty sure he is able to play in the strong leagues in Europe. Hopefully if Dinamo wants and he wants, it can happen."
It looks as if a move could be one to watch this summer, and it wouldn’t be a shock if Olmo is on the move ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.

ولفت عمر كمال إلى أن الأجواء في معسكر الأهلي يسودها التركيز الشديد، خاصة أن كل بطولة يدخلها المارد الأحمر لا يرضى سوى بالحصول عليها، وهو ما جعل هناك حالة من الحماس والرغبة في تحقيق الفوز، ومواصلة المشوار نحو الاحتفاظ باللقب، والعودة بالكأس إلى القاهرة.

A rising Southampton youngster is now training with the first team, and manager Russell Martin is thought to be impressed by what he's seen.

The Saints have been in fine form under Martin for a number of months now, with their last Championship defeat coming way back in September.
A 103-year club record was broken by Southampton last month when they made it 21 games unbeaten with a 3-1 win over Swansea City, and Martin’s side are now occupying the second automatic promotion spot behind Leicester City. Leeds United are closely behind the Saints, though, so it could be a dramatic final few months of the season.
Martin has actually used 36 different players during the current campaign, and it looks as if one defender who hasn’t featured could soon get his chance in the matchday squad.
Southampton teenager training with first-team
Talking to The Daily Echo, Martin revealed that young defender Nico Lawrence is training with the first team after a January move away failed to materialise. Martin has been impressed, saying: "Nico is back in the building now after his loan and there was a decision made on him. There were a few clubs interested in taking him on loan but he has been out of the building for a while and I have not seen much of him.
"I really like what I have seen in the short period of a few days that we have trained. I sat down and had a conversation with him. It was with Olly Lancashire, Carl Martin and Jason Wilcox as well, and I want to see more of him so he will train with us every day.
"He has an opportunity to force himself into the squad and to show us what he has got. He will be better for these four months. He has been out for a while so we want to get him in the best condition he has ever been in."

Lawrence gained his first taste of senior football out on loan with Torquay United last season and was voted the club’s Young Player of the Year. He was praised by Gulls boss Gary Johnson, who said 12 months ago: “He’s got all the attributes, and I can see why Southampton think highly of him. We’re helping him – (Aaron) Downes's centre-half work that he does – and the lad is proper up for learning more.
"He’s enjoying the experience of playing in the first team regularly, with pressure, with managers screaming at them at half time and at the end, because that doesn’t always happen at the Under-21s – it’s more a development – so there’s a lot more on this, and he’s coped on and off the pitch really well.”
The 20-year-old was then sent out on loan to Colchester United last summer but only managed to make four League Two appearances before suffering an injury. Capable of playing as a holding midfielder as well as in his natural centre-back role, Lawrence will now have the chance to break into Martin’s plans for the remainder of the season.
